After graduating from the University of Kansas with degrees in accounting and business administration, Mr. King attended Washburn University’s School of Law. He graduated in 1979 and now has over 30 years of experience as a trial attorney. He started his career at Morris, Larson, King, Stamper & Bold in their Missouri office. In 1987, he moved to their Overland Park office. He remained there until he joined Couch, Pierce & Strausbaugh in 1990. Mr. King has spent 30 years as a litigator specializing in business disputes and personal injury cases. Mr. King has been awarded a preeminent (“AV”) rating by the Martindale Hubbell Law Directory. He has extensive experience in personal injury litigation, commercial litigation, products liability, construction disputes and worksite injuries, and premises liability matters. Mr. King also has litigation experience involving contracts, real estate, probate, securities, officers and director’s liability, professional negligence and intentional torts. He has extensive experience in injunctive proceedings and employment related disputes. Mr. King was on the Board of Governors of the Washburn Law School Association and is a member of the American Bar Association, Kansas Bar Association, Missouri Bar Association, Johnson County Bar Association , Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association, Lawyers Association of Kansas City, and Western Missouri Defense Lawyers Association.
